Health information is sensitive
Health information is treated as sensitive information under Australian privacy law and is given a higher level of protection. We only collect health information that is reasonably necessary for providing chiropractic care and managing your treatment, and only with your consent.
How we collect your information
We collect personal information directly from you wherever practicable — for example, when you book an appointment, complete an intake form, attend a consultation, contact us by phone or email, submit our contact form, or use our online booking system. Storage and security
Your records are stored in our secure practice management system. Paper records, where used, are stored in locked premises. Electronic records are protected by access controls, password protection and routine backups. Despite our security measures, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure — we apply reasonable safeguards but cannot guarantee absolute security.
Clinical records are retained for the period required by Australian law and the Chiropractic Board of Australia — typically a minimum of seven years from the date of last service for adults, or until the patient turns 25 for records relating to children.
