What we manage
Conditions we manage in Nowra
Pain rarely stays in one place. It shows up in your sleep, your work, your weekend plans. Below are the conditions we see most often. If yours isn’t on the list, call (02) 4422 1421 and reception will tell you honestly whether we’re the right fit before you book.
Spine
Back Pain
The most common reason people walk through our door. Acute lower back pain that came on suddenly, or a chronic issue that’s been building for years — either way, we work to identify what’s contributing and build a plan around it.
Cervical
Neck Pain
Stiff neck. Sore neck. “Tech neck” from too many hours at a screen. Neck pain usually has a few common drivers: posture, desk work, phone use, or an old injury that didn’t fully resolve. We assess your cervical spine and the muscles around it, then build a plan to settle the symptoms and improve how it moves.
Cervicogenic
Headaches & Migraines
Many headaches start in the neck and upper back. Cervicogenic headaches are commonly assessed and managed by chiropractors, and many patients report improvement with treatment — though responses vary. Tension headaches driven by muscle tightness and posture are also common in our caseload.
Active People
Sports Injuries
Hamstring strains, rotator cuff problems, ankle sprains, knee issues. Post-graduate sports chiropractic training means we understand the demands your sport places on your body — and what it’ll take to get you safely back to it. We work to address what’s contributing to the injury, not only the spot that’s currently sore.
Posture
Postural Problems
Hours at a desk, hours behind the wheel, hours on a screen. The body adapts to whatever you ask of it most often, and that adaptation isn’t always helpful. We assess your posture, work out what’s contributing, and put together a plan that combines treatment, prescribed exercise and practical adjustments you can actually stick to.
Soft Tissue
Muscle Tension & Strains
Overuse, stress, poor posture, old injury — most persistent muscle tension has more than one cause. Dry needling is one of the most useful tools we have for releasing the trigger points that are contributing to the pain and restriction.
Lumbopelvic
Sciatica & Nerve Pain
A shooting pain down your leg can be hard to live with. We assess whether it’s truly nerve-related or referred from somewhere else, then build a plan around what we find.
Overuse
Repetitive Strain Injuries
Tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, carpal tunnel. If your job or sport involves the same movement thousands of times, the tissue eventually pushes back. We work on settling the symptoms and on the biomechanics underneath them.
Occupational
Work-Related Injuries
Sometimes it’s a specific incident — a lift gone wrong. Sometimes it’s gradual: months of bracing the same way at the same workstation. We assess and manage the injury, then talk through habit and setup adjustments that may reduce the chance of recurrence.
Whiplash
Motor Vehicle Accident Injuries
Whiplash and other car-accident injuries can have a long tail if they aren’t managed well in the early weeks. We’re experienced in assessing and managing these presentations, including the post-acute phase when most of the rehab work happens.
Maintenance
General Wellness
You don’t have to be in pain to come in. Some patients book in regularly because they prefer to manage stiffness or movement issues before they flare up — that’s a personal choice rather than a clinical recommendation. We’ll always be honest with you about whether ongoing care is likely to add value for your specific presentation.
